As part of the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology's support for local companies in the communications and information technology field, H.E. Eng.Saeed bin Hamoud bin Saeed Al Mawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, accompanied by H.E. Dr. Ali Bin Amer Al-Shaydani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications, IT for Communications and Information Technology, visited several emerging Omani tech startups.

 

The visit included a tour of Musleh, which provides specialized electrical maintenance, plumbing, and air conditioning apps.

The visit also included Rahal Company, which was established in 2018 and has a team of more than 130 employees. The company specializes in data science and digital transformation, and it has branches in several countries of the world. The company has been able in the four years since its founding to build and develop local capabilities in data management, business intelligence, machine learning, data science, digital process automation, and the development of solutions and applications.

 

Thawani is committed to applying the highest local and international security standards; where the company obtained the PCIDSS Global Card Security Certificate and obtained the first license from the Central Bank of Oman for non-bank payment service providers in Oman in 2020.

 

H.E. The Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology praised the teams of emerging technology companies and their quality technical products and empowered Omani youth to hone their technical skills and competencies with the latest advanced technology. He also praised the ability of companies to grow rapidly, stressing to them the support of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology in developing the technological companies ecosystem as soon as possible to contribute to the growth of more technology companies.
