Yesterday, HE Mohammed Nasser Al Khasibi, Chairman of the Information Technology Authority Board of Directors and Secretary General Ministry of National Economy, visited a local distribution center in Al-Seeb on behalf of the Royal Grant in Support of e.oman.

To date 813 laptop bundles (laptop, software, and training voucher) have been successfully distributed to beneficiary families of the social insurance.

During a visit to the Center for the Care & Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons in Al Khoud, HE Mohammed Nasser Al Khasibi offered this statement: “The distribution officially began 2 weeks ago and we have noticed from our visit today that the implementation is running smoothly according to the process announced in the press conference.”

HE added, “This Royal Grant serves to support the community in its use and adoption of the new and available technology. All citizens should take advantage of this opportunity and help to build a robust knowledge society.”

It is expected that a total 1090 laptop bundles will be distributed throughout Muscat, with distribution to begin soon in other wilayats across the sultanate.
